AI is moving beyond the screen.

Today’s AI can speak, reason, create and understand information. But most of it still begins and ends inside a phone, computer or application.

The next phase is physical: machines that can perceive what is around them, understand context, respond naturally and take useful action in the real world.

Delhi Robotics Works is building for that shift—from software people use on a screen to intelligent machines that can work alongside them.

A useful robot does not need to imitate a human. It needs to understand the environment, communicate clearly and perform a useful role.

Robots will not become part of everyday life while they remain expensive demonstrations, specialised industrial machines or products designed without real-world constraints.

Delhi Robotics Works begins with usefulness, affordability, manufacturability and serviceability as engineering requirements—not features to be added later.

    Cost is treated as a core engineering constraint from the first prototype. Every capability must justify the hardware, complexity and manufacturing cost it adds.

NIA is a compact desk-scale intelligent robot designed to combine conversation, vision, recognition, memory, expression and movement in one physical form.

It is the first product through which Delhi Robotics Works is developing its software, hardware, industrial design, manufacturing and human–robot interaction capabilities.

WHY NIA MATTERS

NIA is intentionally compact. A desk is where conversation, information, decisions and daily routines already meet. It provides a practical place to develop and test how an intelligent robot can become useful without requiring a home, office or institution to be redesigned around it.
